Foundation4GirlsLeadership gives a voice to girls by providing leadership skills and opportunities to en-rich their lives.
Foundation4GirlsLeadership envisions a society where girls are equally represented in all levels of leadership and where every girl is valued, has opportunities to engage and is equipped to make important decisions about her life to reach her full potential.
Girls are still left behind: Developing countries like Malawi account for 95% of births to adolescent mothers and girls are 5 times more likely to become mothers when they have low educational attainment. Negative social attitude towards girls, early pregnancy and early marriage affects the lives of adolescent girls in terms of their health, social, economic and education outcomes; exposing these girls to risks such as school dropout, vulnerability to violence and extreme poverty. In attempt to develop girls’ abilities, Foundation4GirlsLeadership increases girls’ involvement to deal with social barriers that affect them and their communities. Through building long lasting mentorship, advocacy for policies, and provision of safe environment to girls, we believe that we are able to meet the needs of today girls and increase their opportunities to reach their full potential. The organization inspires girls to be smart, educated and be bold for change.
Traditionally; girls are not raised as leaders, as girls are growing up, they become limited in life. Breaking this altitude and social barrier; the organization builds a movement of young girl leaders.
Activities:
The organization informs policy makers about girls needs nationally. The organization advocates, equip, empower and educate the community and teaches girls how to advocate for themselves and amplify their voices for social change in different aspect of their lives such as human rights, sexual healthiness, leadership, prevention of teen pregnancy and early marriages.
Activities:
Foundation4GirlsLeadership believes that change can take place through the power of education. Through education, we can achieve the world of equals. We therefore inspire and encourage girl’s education and provide secondary scholarships to girls from low social-economic families to empower themselves and to gain both social and financial independence. We do this because we believe education can un-rock their potential and make them valuable individuals in their communities.
Through mentorship program; we expand our reach, give platform and space for girls to rise above and discover their passion and leadership role in their communities and be inspired to be innovative to change.
